A choice of study pathways enables international students to fulfil their academic potential, develop new skills and achieve personal goals in a way that suits their individual needs.  


Queensland Government schools take students through each stage of their education journey, from Prep and primary school, to preparation for tertiary study


Primary school 

Primary school is for students who want to come to Queensland to study i​n Prep (students aged 4 to 5) to Year 6 (students aged 10). 


High School Preparation (HSP)

An intensive English program to prepare students for EQI high school classes. 


High school programs

Junior High School: Year 7 to Year 10 (students aged 12 to 15).  

Senior High School: Year 11 to Year 12 (students aged 16 to 18).


International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate Diploma is a globally recognised diploma awarded by the International Baccalaureate Organisation.


Special programs

Focus on a specific subject special program, e.g. science, sports, music and other key curriculum areas, to gain advantage in an aligned degree, profession or sports career.


Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM)​

STEM subjects, excellence programs and after school activities to teach and inspire future scientists, innovators, engineers and medical specialists.


Study Tours​

Choose or create an EQI study tour that meets the particular interests of your student group.
