How to apply

We welcome applications from stude​nts around the world and offer you 3 ways to apply. It doesn’t matter which method you choose, as all applications received are treated equally.​

Find an agen​​​t

While we’ve made it as easy as possible to apply to study at a Queensland Government school, there are many things to consider—​ensuring you have the right visa is just one of them!

An education agent can step you through every stage of the application process and help you to understand exactly what is required of you.

They help you to make sure your application is perfect and give you the best chance to succeed.

Apply onlin​e

Apply through our easy-to-use online portal​.

Login using your unique username and secure password and then complete each section until you reach the end of the application. Make sure you have all supporting documents and information available, ready to refer to and upload as required.

Fill out a form

Download our application form and complete it electronically or print it and fill it out.

The form asks you for the same information as our online portal and requires you to complete each section and provide additional supporting documents and information.

Completed forms can be submitted by your education agent or by you to email EQInternational@qed.qld.gov.au.

Application dates

It is important to allow sufficient time for your application and student visa to be processed prior to arriving in Queensland.

As a guide:

• You should submit your application at least 3 months prior to your proposed commencement.
• If you are applying to Queensland Academies, you must submit your application to us at least 1 week prior to the Queensland Academies application closing date.
