Schools of excellence
Many Queensland Government schools have been identified as ‘schools of excellence’, focusing on sports, music, arts and other key curriculum areas. These schools offer innovative and specialised programs, designed and delivered by teaching professionals and experts in their chosen field. Many of these schools also have strong links with Queensland’s tertiary institutes and local industry, to ensure practical curriculum design and a strong foundation for students’ future career development.

Programs design
Excellence study tour programs combine specialised academic and English lessons, cultural activities and theme-based excursions.
Students also benefit from sharing their own learnings and talents with Queensland students and the wider school community through specifically arranged cultural activities. Programs often include joint performances, sporting and other cultural activities with local students. Learning and performing alongside Queensland buddies is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, allowing visiting students the opportunity to develop personally and academically.
