There are
15 government high schools in regional Queensland that are eligible to enrol international students in the Regional Study Abroad option.
Regional Study Abroad 2-in-1
We've now added a flexible option where you can choose 2 regional locations and divide your time equally, experiencing 2 places in 1 program. So, you get to choose 2 regional high schools – what a unique opportunity.
Maybe a semester at the Hervey Bay State High School where watching the winter humpback whale migration from Antarctica (July to November) is a once in lifetime experience. Your second semester could then be in the tropical north at Atherton or Malanda State High Schools – an hour from Cairns, where the most spectacular combination of rainforest hikes and snorkelling is on offer at Norman and Flynn reef.
