Welcome to Merrimac State School. Our school is renowned on the Gold Coast for its outstanding natural setting, with an array of wildlife and bushland. We welcome families from our local area and indeed across the world. Merrimac children work together as a safe, respectful community of learners.
Our caring teachers set high academic expectations for every child. We encourage the children to be self-managed, resilient and culturally aware.
Our learning environment is air-conditioned, allowing everyone to be cool in summer and warm in winter.
We offer a challenging and engaging curriculum including science, technology, sport and music. The classrooms are very well resourced and the teachers and students have access to a wide range of digital resources.
Merrimac State School is an excellent choice as the school best placed to educate your child.
We will work together to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.
At Merrimac State School, we are located on the beautiful Gold Coast with abundant wildlife in our very natural environment. Our school is located between the Gold Coast Hinterland and the beach with the dual benefit of a country feeling in a city location.
Meet with our friendly administration team and experience that ‘Merrimac Difference’. At Merrimac, we take great pride in ‘Educating Our Future’. Our children are our future and we take this responsibility very seriously. Merrimac welcomes new families to our friendly multicultural school.
Our students, parents and community greatly value our Sister School relationship with Katsuragi Elementary School in Japan.
Homestay* enables EQI students to truly experience Australia's famous lifestyle.
By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment. International students often develop lasting friendships with their homestay families.
