​​​​I welcome you to Kedron State High School. We are a school that delivers excellence in education each and every day. Kedron offers a unique, friendly and academically focused learning environment for all of our international students.

It is a privilege to be Principal of this great school. I lead an outstanding staff who tirelessly work to inspire our students to be the next leaders shaping the future of our world. Our consistently high expectations, combined with personalised attention, has led to ongoing outstanding academic success from when the school first opened in 1956.

The International Student Program is a very important and very well supported part of our school. Our exceptional school offers the very best experience an international student can desire. At Kedron State High School, our academic outcomes are consistently above the state average. These strong results stem from the core values of the school: traditional, academic, disciplined and diverse.

We have dedicated teachers who give time and attention to the welfare and achievements of each student, offering support, extension classes and career information.

We have a successful English as an Additional Language/ Dialect (EAL/D) program with 60 languages spoken within the school community. In our extracurricular programs such as Lego robotics, Chess, debating, sporting and musical groups, you can learn new skills, strengthen friendships and create memories. We are ideally located only 6km from Brisbane’s centre and 7km from the Brisbane International Airport.

Homestay and accommodation

By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment.

Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, three meals a day, and access to transport to and from school, and to school activities.
