Principal's welcome

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all International students wishing to study at Palm Beach Currumbin (PBC) State High.

I am very proud of our international program and the special opportunities it provides to students. We aim to assist every student to achieve their full potential and our mission is reflected in our school’s motto of "Nil Sed Optima" – "Nothing but the Best".

We do this by providing an extensive choice of subjects including academic, sporting and creative arts Excellence programs which add to the richness of the educational experience.

Our dedicated staff are there to support you in all aspects of the program. You will find our staff and students friendly, approachable; they share a love of our school. PBC State High School is located on the beautiful Gold Coast in South East Queensland.

We offer you a caring, supportive and inclusive environment.

As we are a large school, our many highly trained and experienced teachers deliver a wide range of diverse programs and opportunities including many that are not available at any other Gold Coast school.

We use the latest technologies​ including our aquaculture centre and laboratories.

Our partnerships with Griffith, Bond and Southern Cross Universities provide you with unique and flexible pathways into tertiary education.

Homestay and accommodation

By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment.

Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, three meals a day, and access to transport to and from school, and to school activities.

Holiday adventure programs

Holiday adventure programs are an exciting and safe way for students to travel and sightsee during school holidays.

All holiday adventures are fully guided and escorted by qualified teachers and staff to ensure student safety.
