Principal's welcome

​​​​​Welcome to Queensland, Australia, and a very warm welcome to Murrumba State Secondary College. Our wonderful College is a co-educational Independent Public School with an outstanding reputation for success and innovation.

At Murrumba, we nurture a strong sense of belonging within our students and inspire them to create their preferred futures. High standards of both academic and vocational learning are fostered, and we build strong traditions across our three pillars; academic, sporting and cultural endeavours.

Murrumba’s curriculum-base is broad, and features excellence programs including Engineering Excellence, Football Academy, High Performing Music Academy, Spanish Acceleration and Spanish Immersion. Our innovative learning experiences are supported by cutting-edge technology and ensure that the talents and interests of all students are recognised and cultivated.

We are located in a beautiful part of Brisbane’s northern suburbs, with easy access to the thriving city of Brisbane, the relaxing foreshore of Moreton Bay and the endless beaches of the Sunshine Coast.

Our college opened in 2012 and is now the school of first choice in the Murrumba area.

We provide world-class learning programs delivered in impressive and expansive facilities featuring a wide range of innovative learning technologies.

Our students are aged from 12 to 18 years and are known as ‘the Pride of Murrumba’.

Homestay and accommodation

By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment.

Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, three meals a day, and access to transport to and from school, and to school activities.
