MacGregor State High School is a thriving education community that draws on its members’ diverse backgrounds, experience and talents to forge success.
Our dedicated staff and an innovative curriculum support personal excellence and achievement and will provide you with many opportunities to enjoy all facets of school life through a variety of academic, sporting and cultural activities.
At MacGregor these focus areas are underpinned by high standards, aspiration and opportunity to enable all our students to become ‘The Best We Can Be’. Exceptionally gifted students also enjoy accelerated learning through our 'Honours' Signature Programs.
As a senior school student you can also benefit from our close associations with leading universities by taking part in high school programs with Griffith University, The University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology. Over the years, it has been shown that students with a strong academic performance, high levels of motivation and good organisational skills can do very well with early university studies.
We are proud of our school and look forward to welcoming you to the MacGregor school community.
MacGregor State High School is located 13km from the Brisbane city centre, close to Griffith University and the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, with excellent access to public transport, including the city busway, parks and shopping centre.

Homestay* enables EQI students to truly experience Australia's famous lifestyle.
By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment. International students often develop lasting friendships with their homestay families.
Standard Homestay fees have been set and these are listed on the EQI program fees page.
