Hervey Bay State High School is located on the stunning Queensland coast, with whales almost on the doorstep and close to World Heritage listed K'Gari (Fraser Island), enabling us to provide a wide range of learning and life experiences.

Hervey Bay has direct flight connections to Brisbane and Sydney and the school is close to shops, transport, beaches and entertainment.

Our teaching programs are a balanced and innovative blend of literacy, numeracy and technology delivered in spacious, contemporary classrooms.

Homestay and accommodation

By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment.

Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, three meals a day, and access to transport to and from school, and to school activities.

Holiday adventure programs are an exciting and safe way for students to travel and sightsee during school holidays.
