Principal's welcome

It is with pride that I welcome you to Craigslea State High School, a co-educational school of approximately 1,200 students established in 1975.

Craigslea has an excellent reputation for high academic standards, with a genuine commitment among staff, students and homestay families to ensure our international students enjoy the highest quality study experience.

We are centrally located close to the city of Brisbane and situated amongst many green spaces.

We have a long established International Student Program running for over 30 years. Our focus on global citizenship and social awareness means our international students are highly valued within our community. 100% of past international students consistently identify they would recommend our school.

Students have the opportunity to join our award-winning excellence programs in volleyball, music and science. We are among the best in the nation for volleyball ranking number one in beach and number two in indoor volleyball in Australia. Our music program is a consistent winner in competitions, particularly in vocals. Our science program offers students real-life experiences with industry professionals and authentic experiences, particularly in the fields of biology, psychology, physics and chemistry.

Craigslea State High School has a long association with international students, having supported the program since 1995. Homestay and accommodation

By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment.

Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, three meals a day, and access to transport to and from school, and to school activities.
