Most international students must have
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) while studying in Australia. It is mandatory if you hold a student visa.
OSHC is an insurance cover that can help towards the cost of things like doctors’ visits, hospital stays, medicines and emergency support if needed while staying in Australia.
You have the option to arrange your own OSHC through an approved provider,
or EQI can arrange it for you.
Arranging your own OSHC
You can choose to arrange your own OSHC through an approved provider. OSHC packages are available from the following approved providers:
EQI arranged OSHC
If you can choose for EQI to arrange OSHC for you, it will be arranged through
Bupa.
Information about the basic medical and hospital services you will receive are covered in the OSHC Bupa package.
Please note that we will receive a commission from Bupa for arranging your OSHC.
Your information will be shared with Bupa. Please refer to the Bupa handling and privacy policy.
Confirmation of Enrolment
In order to receive your Confirmation of Enrolment, you must provide the details of your OSHC.
Additional insurance cover
We also recommend you take out
additional travel insurance for the duration of your stay as an international student in Australia.
This will ensure you have comprehensive protection for your valuable personal items and medical services that might not be covered by OSHC.
