​​​Welcome to one of the most innovative schools in Queensland! Cavendish Road State High School has a proud tradition of being 1 of the first public high schools established in Brisbane with many past students moving into prominent positions globally after graduating.

Cavendish Road State High School is recognised as a school of Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Philosophy with students studying advanced courses at Griffith University and the University of Queensland which lead to direct entry.

We are Australia’s leading schools in football, with strong relationships with Queensland Roar (Australian A-League team).

Our jazz and instrumental music programs offer students opportunities in strings, woodwind, brass, percussion and voice.

Cavendish Road State High School is one of Brisbane's oldest public high schools and we are recognised for high-quality education.

We offer you a wide range of subjects, including university-level academic programs and sporting excellence programs that are only available at a small number of schools.

While here, you can study advanced courses at university that will allow you to directly enter university after school.

Our school is close to major shopping centres and public transport to Brisbane's central business district.

Homestay and accommodation
