What could be more memorable than studying science in one of the world’s most spectacular natural landscapes? Our latest video was filmed at James Cook University’s (JCU) Daintree Rainforest Observatory where EQI international students conducted real-life research in this truly unique setting – swimming with turtles on the Great Barrier Reef and floating high above the ancient rainforest canopy. The ‘Daintree Rainforest Observatory – our classroom in the rainforest’ was developed by a consortium of EQI schools in Cairns: Trinity Bay State High School (SHS), Cairns SHS, Smithfield SHS and Redlynch State College in partnership with JCU.
International students who study in Cairns enjoy first-class education and numerous opportunities for new learning experiences and outdoor adventure. Located in the North of Queensland, Cairns is an important link to Asia and a global leader in tropical health, environmental management, tourism, aquaculture, marine services, fishing and agriculture.
