International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
The IB Diploma is a world-recognised curriculum for high academic achievers that prepares you for university study.
IB study fulfils many national and state education system requirements and allows you to transfer from a Queensland IB school to any other IB school in the world.
When you complete Years 11 and 12 in a Queensland IB school you will be awarded a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) in addition to the IB Diploma.
You must achieve high academic results in a range of subjects to be eligible to enrol in the IB program. Refer to entry requirements below.
The IB is only offered at selected schools.
Program length: Two terms, one academic year or the two-year Diploma course
Age range: 15 to 18 years
School years: Years 11 to 12
Program entry: At the beginning of Term 1 (January) or Term 3 (October), but only January for the graduate option.
