Regional high school study abroad

Students complete part of the junior high school and/or senior high school program and may study for a period of three, six, nine or twelve months. Upon completion students receive a Queensland school report outlining their academic achievements.

EQI regional high schools

Government high schools in regional Queensland which are eligible to enrol international students in Queensland are called EQI regional high schools. For information about the participating schools, visit the Find a school page. ​

To apply for an EQI program, choose one of the options below:

  1. Applying online is fast and secure and can be done at any time of the day or night. There is no application fee to apply online.
  2. Complete the EQI international student application form and return it by email to EQInternational@qed.qld.gov.au.
  3. Find an agent who will help you select the right study program and complete the application process for you.
