High school in Queensland starts in Year 7 and finishes at the end of Year 12.

Our programs
High School Preparation (intensive English program)
A highly developed program, the
High School Preparation program is for students who need to improve their English skills so they can join a mainstream high school class.
Program length: 10 to 40 weeks (depending on your English level)
Age range: 12 to 18 years
School years: Years 7 to 12
Application dates: at the beginning of any school term (January, April, July, October). An extra Term 5 is also available for High School Preparation.
Virtual High School Preparation (online)
An
online intensive English program for students to study and learn English in their home country.
Program length: 10 to 40 weeks (depending on your English level)
Age range: 12 to 18 years
School years: Years 7 to 12
Application dates: at the beginning of any school term (January, April, July, October). An extra Term 5 is also available for High School Preparation.
Study high school in Queensland
The
high school program is designed for students seeking to graduate high school in Queensland and qualify for university or further study in Australia or abroad.
Students can choose from over 70 schools located throughout Queensland. Each school offers a wide choice of academic, creative and sports programs.
Students who complete Years 11 and 12 receive the internationally-recognised Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and may be eligible for university admission.
Program length: 2 to 6 years
Age range: 12 to 18 years
School years: Years 7 to 12
Application dates:
- at the beginning of any school term in Years 7 to 10 (January, April, July, October)
- at the beginning of Term 1 in Year 11.
EQI Virtual High School – Year 10 (online)
Our
Virtual High School – Year 10 offers the same encouragement, motivation and support from Queensland teachers that you would experience if you were here with us.
Program length: 1 semester or 1 year
Age range: 15 to 17 years (age eligible for Year 10)
School years: Year 10
Application dates: at the beginning of Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3 only.
High school (study abroad)
Some students might have limited time for their Queensland education experience, so they can choose from the 3, 6, 9 or 12-month options of our
study abroad program. There is still the daily opportunities to practise English as well as experiencing the great Australian culture.
Program length: 3, 6, 9 or 12 months
Age range: 12–18 years
School years: Years 7–12
Application dates: at the beginning of any school term (January, April, July, October), however, commencement in Terms 3 and 4 (July and October) in Year 12 is subject to approval due to end of year exams.
Regional high school (study abroad)
An exciting opportunity for Year 9 to 12 students to study and experience Australian life and culture with the
regional high school (study abroad) program. Students can choose from the outback, rainforest, beach or reef regions and receive the same quality education while developing their English skills and making new friends for life. Choosing a combination regional and city destination is also available to create the most flexible study experience available.
Program length: 3, 6, 9 or 12 months
Age range: 12–18 years
School years: Year 9 to 12 students
Application dates: at the beginning of any school term (January, April, July, October), however, commencement in Terms 3 and 4 (July and October) in Year 12 is subject to approval due to end of year exams.
