Day 130 November
This morning we fly from Brisbane to Sydney to start our adventure. Note, if you live outside of the Brisbane/Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast area we will book your flights from your nearest regional airport.
First we head to our accommodation to unpack. Then we take a walking tour of Sydney – lunch is at own expense. We tour the Rocks historic area which still has some original colonial buildings. You can visit the Rocks Museum or just wander the laneways with quaint shops and cafes.
This afternoon we take a walk around the Opera House and the Botanical Gardens ending at Mrs Macquarie's Chair for a great photo opportunity. Our coach collects you and we now discover China Town Markets – a vibrant and colourful area with lots of restaurants to choose from (dinner at own expense). Return to our accommodation late evening.

Day 21 December
Early rise this morning (6am) as we enjoy a day trip to the Blue Mountains. It can be cold here, please make sure you have packed a warm jacket!
First we drive to Jenolan Caves and explore the Chifley cave, an amazing treasure trove of caves featuring large chambers richly draped in colourful limestone crystal. This is the first cave to be lit with electric light in 1880 and was one of the earliest places in the world to use light bulbs.
This afternoon we travel to Katoomba to visit the Three Sisters. There is time to visit the Information Centre and learn about the history of these imposing mountain ranges before we are met by National Park Rangers who will take us on a guided walk of the Blue Mountains Heritage Trail. Your guides will help you to spot the local flora and fauna of this National Park, and you may even spot a koala or two! After an interesting walk you can explore the rainforest floor before we take the Scenic Railway; one of the steepest vernicular railways in the Southern Hemisphere; to the top of the valley and enjoy a well earned rest.
We enjoy a town tour of Katoomba and there is time to explore some of the quaint shops and cafes before we head back to Sydney arriving early evening.

Day 32 December
This morning we head down the highway towards the Nation's Capital Canberra. First stop is Goulburn and the Giant Merino, before heading further South. We arrive in Canberra early afternoon, we stop lunch and then enjoy a birds eye view of Canberra at Mount Ainslie. Late afternoon we head to the Australian War Memorial. Explore the many exhibits before watching the Last Post – a moving ceremony to honour the many lives lost.
Day 43 December
This morning we visit the Australian Institute of Sport and enjoy a guided tour of the centre, where Australia's top atheletes train in top class surroundings. We drive around the overseas Embassies and High Commissions that maintain their country's diplomatic relationships with Australia followed by a self guided tour of the Federal Parliament building. There is free time to explore the city and the many shops, cafes and restaurants before heading back to our accommodation.
Day 54 December
Early rise this morning as we farewell the National Capital and head back to Sydney. First stop is Bronte Beach and we take a coastal walk to Bondi Beach, where the lifesavers are kept alert on Australia's busiest beach. Lunch is at own expense today.
We farewell Bondi and head to Watsons Bay for a walk up to the Gap and stunning views across to Manly.
We return to Circular Quay and see Sydney Harbour from the water! Take a thrilling, high speed Jet Boat Ride, with 360 turns, be prepared to get wet! We return to the hostel in time for dinner.
Day 65 December
This morning we explore more of Sydney and see Sydney Harbour from the best vantage point – walking the Bridge Climb. Absorb a 360 degree panorama of Sydney as you journey to the summit of the bridge. You ascend 4 ladders to the upper arch, below you the busy Sydney traffic. At the summit celebrate with your group before descending this magnificent bridge. You will receive a group photograph, BridgeClimb cap and certificate of achievement.
We now visit the Pylon Lookout and learn about the history of this fascinating structure.
This afternoon we explore Darling Harbour, why not visit the Chinese Gardens for a peaceful walk around manicured gardens (at own expense approx. $8) or browse for some last minute souveniers. From there it is a short walk to Paddy's Markets where you can purchase an array of souveniers for family and friends. Then it's back to the accommodation for your evening meal.
Day 76 December
This morning it’s time to say goodbye to all
your new friends and head home with wonderful memories of your adventure!
