Kingaroy State High School offers international students the opportunity to study abroad, in a welcoming, friendly and rural location. The school is a friendly, medium sized school, with a current enrolment of 1050 students ranging from Years 7 – 12.

Kingaroy State High School boasts a wide variety of specialised programs (including wine tourism, agricultural studies, and trade training centres for industrial studies) within its curriculum program. Students, staff and the community enjoy the many available facilities Kingaroy State High School has to offer. The school serves the Kingaroy community and has a student population base that reflects both town and country families.

The curriculum offered to students is varied, providing academic and vocational education subjects in a number of specialised areas. The school offers an extensive range of extracurricular activities which allow students the opportunity to participate in, and contribute to, the school and local community.

Backed up by a supportive local community and dedicated Parents and Citizens' Association, the school is able to provide for its students in a number of ways. School facilities are well maintained, and provide industry standard equipment to develop real-life situations for students in vocational education.

Homestay* enables EQI students to truly experience Australia's famous lifestyle.

By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment. International students often develop lasting friendships with their homestay families.

  • Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, three meals a day, and access to transport to and from school, and to school activities
  • Host families are carefully selected from within the school community and undergo a police check as required by Queensland law

EQI Holiday Adventure Programs are an exciting and safe way for International Students to travel and sightsee during school holidays.

There's an EQI adventure to suit every taste - from visiting city landmarks and riding camels on an unforgettable Australian 'outback' adventure, to exploring ancient rainforests and swimming with turtles off Queensland's pristine white sand beaches.
