​Gladstone State High is a vibrant, futures-orientated school that aims to establish in all students a foundation for the pursuit of lifelong learning. It is an established school with many traditions that have been developed over time. The school is situated on nearly 9 hectares, close to the CBD with views to the harbour and nearby islands. 

Staff are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where students are valued and given opportunities to reach their potential. Gladstone State High School has a fine reputation for academic, cultural and sporting excellence. It is a leader in the fields of vocational educational training and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. An extensive range of senior subjects are provided to meet students’ needs and interests.

Homestay

Homestay* enables EQI students to truly experience Australia's famous lifestyle.

By living with an Australian host family international students become part of the local community and have a fantastic opportunity to practise their English in a safe and caring home environment. International students often develop lasting friendships with their homestay families.

  • Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, three meals a day, and access to transport to and from school, and to school activities
  • Host families are carefully selected from within the school community and undergo a police check as required by Queensland law

EQI Holiday Adventure Programs are an exciting and safe way for International Students to travel and sightsee during school holidays.

There's an EQI adventure to suit every taste - from visiting city landmarks and riding camels on an unforgettable Australian 'outback' adventure, to exploring ancient rainforests and swimming with turtles off Queensland's pristine white sand beaches.
