Thank you Korea!

Thank you to everyone who attended our events in Korea during March.

EQI and Trade and Investment Queensland co-hosted an information and networking event for education agents in Seoul which provided an opportunity to thank agents for their hard work.

As well as updates on Queensland schools and international study programs, EQI presented an informative session on the changes arising from Queensland's transition from the Overall Position to the Australian Tertiary Rank (ATAR) in 2020, and shared some useful tips for choosing the right school for students.

In Seoul, we were delighted to welcome over 40 participants to the EQI Parents Seminar hosted by Stephen Biggs, Executive Director, Department of Education International. There was lots of interest in the topics presented by representatives from Benowa State High School (SHS) and Meridan State College, and it was great to have them on hand to answer parents' questions directly.

Among many other highlights was a visit to Cheorwan County by Stephen Biggs, Executive Director, Department of Education International. We are grateful for the kind hospitality of our hosts, which included the Mayor of Cheorwon County, Myun Jong Lee and Kim Eun Suk, Superintendent of the Gangwon Cheorwon Office of Education.

We are excited to be hosting Cheorwan County's first Study Tour to Queensland in 2020; the EQI program was introduced to them by Yeoncheon County, which has brought an annual Study Tour to Queensland since 2015. The Cheorwan County Study Tour will be co-hosted by Benowa SHS and Helensvale SHS on the Gold Coast.

It was a very happy and productive visit to Korea and we hope to welcome many more Korean students to Queensland Government schools in the future.

Thank you! We appreciate your feedback.
