Education Improvement Branch
Our department regularly reviews Queensland state schools and offshore recognised schools to ensure that they continue to deliver world-class education. Taking a strengths-based approach, reviews are conducted by experienced principals appointed by the department’s Education Improvement Branch.
Reviewers look at the school’s operations and practices, performance data and other information, and talk with a range of school staff and community members. A written report is given to the school that details the findings and recommendations from the review and is designed to support the school’s improvement agenda.
EQI is able to facilitate a contextualised review for schools outside of Australia who may wish to engage with this research based school review model.
