Welcome to Education Queensland International virtual school day. Hi I’m an international student, let me show you what it’s like to study in a Queensland Government school. On a school day, I have breakfast and get ready. My homestay isn’t far from school so I take the bus or cycle. I get to school at around 8am and catch up with my friends before classes start. We have three to six classes per day. The classes are much smaller than they are at home and the teachers are very helpful. The school facilities are really impressive and classes take place in different areas of the campus. This is the Learning Centre which has a computer lab and library. We have three breaks during the school day. At lunchtime I hang out with my friends. The school has a lot of open spaces where you can play sports or relax. The curriculum includes classes like maths and science, but we can also choose to study extracurricular subjects like leadership and robotics. School normally finishes at 3:30pm. Sometimes I stay at school for music practice or tennis club. On other days I go home and spend time with my homestay family. Queensland is a fun and exciting place to study; come and experience it yourself! To find out more visit eqi.com.au.
