Mathilda from Norway My name is Mathilda and I'm from Nijmegen in Norway. I wasn't very scared about traveling Queensland alone because I knew that I would have a group with me that is also going through the same stuff with me. Everything was pretty easy and people were there to help us at the airport anyway. Making Australian friends was hard in the beginning but it got easier you got more comfortable with the language the school your teachers the classes so it got easier. Studying in Queensland has definitely helped me with understanding that I have a lot of more opportunities and I think it's going to be very helpful on my way to my career how I've been here learning improving my English getting to know people more being a more open person and definitely it has helped. I've been visiting quite a lot of places in Queensland like Noosa, Mooloolaba, Tangalooma and Stradbroke Island. I've also been to the Whitsundays, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef which was amazing, and we also have Brisbane, and the Gold Coast so you have quite a bit of everything here in Queensland. To new international students come in Australia I would say just do; it it's lovely here you get the beaches you get the new friends you get to speak English a lot more which can help you with further studies and career so it's definitely worth it.
