Queensland Government Schools... where your future begins. Tony from China, future electronics engineer. High School Preparation (Intensive Eglish program for students). High School certificate (Alumni of Kenmore State High School). Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (University of Queensland). Hi my name is Tony, I am from Whuhan, China. I did two years of study at Kenmore State High School, and now I am doing Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Queensland. During high school, I learnt a lot about Australian culture and made a lot of friends, who also made their way through University of Queensland, but most importantly, it really helped my English. At High School, there are three programs that prepared me for my University Degree; they are Mathmatics B, Mathmatics C and Physics. For example, Mathmatics C in High School taught us about the foundation of calculus, which is essential for University mathematics study. Currently I am doing Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and the programming courses. By far the courses I enjoy the most is programming. When I finish studying, I would like to become a professional Engineer who works in the Electronic industry. The things I like most about living in Queenland is the lifestyle, the pace is slower compared to my home country, and people are more relaxed and more friendly to each other. And also, the weather is pretty nice- it never gets too cold. Queensland is a place very suitable (for people) to study abroad. There are many world-class universities situated here and it is a very pleasant environment for people to live in. I welcome you all to study in Queensland.
