Emma Grace So my name is Emma Grace. I'm from Nauru and I graduated Mitchelton State High School in 2021. Three highlights would be being part of the International Student Program. Meeting my friends, my lifelong friends. Joining the Kokoda Challenge during my last year. Kokoda Challenge is a hike that was 48 kilometres long. Took us 17 hours to complete. Judith Martin And Grace was a very important member of the group that basically finished the very first Kokoda Track. She was instrumental in keeping up the spirits of all the students because this is no easy task. It requires stamina, it requires resilience. But grace was certainly a wonderful inspirer and in this group there are a lot of opportunities at Mitchelton State High School for you. We try to work with every student individually so that you fulfil your dreams and your potential. Emma Grace They are looking into what my interests were, so that was good. And then what I was able to do. So my skills and my strengths. So yeah, so we decided para-medicine so in Nauru will help, you know, emergency situations and everything like that. Yeah. So I plan to come back to Queensland to study for my para-medicine degree and then I plan to work for Nauru for that. So yeah. Judith martin Grace is a wonderful, quiet, gentle leader. She's an inspiration to many of the other students. Emma Grace My final year I've received the City Smart Award for 2021, and that award will go to an international student who was willing to participate, eager to learn new things and experience the Aussie experience. So I would go with my friends, her family, they would go every holiday. So that was my favourite place to go. Yeah, that'll be Movieworld. Judith Martin So there were a lot of extra curricular options, like the performing arts. There was art, dance, music clubs, there was sports, soccer, basketball, rugby. Yeah. So those academics, there was science, math, tutoring. We believe that the extracurricular program is so important to our student development because it helps create that balance, that balance between a sound mind and a sound body. Emma Grace Yeah. So I started as an intern in Department of Education. After my intern finished, they offered me a temporary position and they offered me to come here and esort the new students so that I share what I had to go through. So it was just, yeah, amazing, really.
