EQI Working Offshore
Teacher/Consultant Recruitment
With the increasing demand for international skills in our education institutions, a variety of teaching and consulting positions offshore offer excellent opportunities for professional development. These skills directly contribute to the internationalisation of Queensland's education system and are highly prized by Education Queensland including many of our schools and colleges.
Education Queensland International has a varied role in the recruitment process. It both recommends teachers to international clients and supplies administration staff for varied commercial and aid and development activities.
Consulting
Any professional educator with excellent academic and professional qualifications wishing to further develop their skills can become a consultant.
Consultants contribute directly to international development through the use of their expertise and skills. They are highly dedicated and motivated people who gain satisfaction from participating as a team member to achieve the long- term goals and objectives of specific projects being implemented in developing countries. Through their participation on a project they gain the opportunity to develop personal skills such as adaptability, cross-cultural negotiation, self-management and leadership.
If you would like to be considered for potential consultancies, download, complete and email the registration form. Once we receive your information, it will be added to International Projects Units recruitment database and you will recieve regular updates about our projects and available working opportunities.
Year 10 / Unilearn
Education Queensland International engages with international clients to provide curriculum and related services, and to recommend suitably qualified and experienced teachers for employment. Teachers are then employed directly by international clients.
Education Queensland International has been successfully involved in offshore teacher recruitment since 1995.
In 2008 there are four sites offering programs that employ either the Queensland Year 10 or the Unilearn Foundation Program curriculum. Currently employment opportunities are being offered in China with other international sites expected to come on board in the near future.
Employment opportunities arise throughout the year. However the majority of positions are for the commencement of the offshore academic year which occurs between August and November and runs through until late July /early September. Most teachers will be initially contracted for a period of 10 to 12 months.
If you are flexible, enthusiastic and looking for a highly rewarding challenge, we invite you to submit your details. Once we receive your information, it will be added to International Projects Units recruitment database and you will recieve regular updates about our projects and available working opportunities.
